Basic prayers, maybe for different times of the day, would be great. I second Nicole's request; ritual and holy days are elusive topics. Simple ways to honor Anpu in daily life would be another good subject. That, and information on Kemeticism in general.

Thank you. *respectful bow*

I would love to learn more about Anpu; it's so hard to find information on the gods, even from other Pagans. I am more than willing to be patient as you get settled into your new home. I wish you the best of luck and hope that your needs are taken care of swiftly and effectively. I await your lessons with bated breath.

A quick closing question: Are there any books you would recommend for studying Kemeticism? I've loved Kemet since I was young (I'm going to college next year and plan to pursue, one way or the other, a degree in Egyptology), but I've only recently (within the last two/three years) turned to the gods for more than study. The Circle of Isis I've read many times, but what would you suggest?

Thank you for your time, and I wish you a speed resolution to your housing troubles!

Amazing. The way you describe Anpu is. . exactly as I have. The overflowing love, knowing there's no word adequate enough to explain the feeling towards Him, and the .. excitement when seeing a picture or hearing His name spoken. All these I have felt, continue to feel. Though I'll admit, I do not hear Him as you do. I would love to - He came to me years ago, and I am only know able to worship Him as He should be worshiped. Therein lies my question: Where do I start? Anything, whether it be on-line or off, would be excellent. My only experience with worship has been of the Christian God, Christ Jesus, and reading of Wiccan rituals.

I am looking on infornmation on how to be a Priestess of Anpu. Finding infornmation on the holy days and rituals is proving to be quite difficult.
I am hoping that you may be able to at least direct me in the right direction.
thank you

This is exactly how I feel. I think it could be tied to the fact that we are now in a 'post-Christ' society. Perhaps people are trying to make their so-called pagan practices more accepted by claiming they aren't polytheists. I have always maintained that I am polytheist, even when I thought I was Christian. I cannot stand the thought of there being only one divine being.

I came up with what I call my family theory, long before I came into contact with KO. We have our creator god. For the Christians this is Yahweh, for Muslims - Allah and so on. I believed that there were other beings like these that may or may not have had a part in our creation but deserved no less respect. We love and honour our parents but also have grandparetns, uncles, aunts etc who also take up part of our time and love.

:) I'm not Kemetic but I know what you mean. The supposed necessity of circles and the 'all gods are one god and all goddesses are one goddess' statements that get repeated ad nauseum in most pagan spaces (both on and offline) get really irritating after a while... I never did see the point of conducting rituals honouring archetypes either... Maybe some of these people would benefit from less talking about the gods, and more talking (and listening) to them?

Anywho, I enjoyed reading your post...

Cheers

I am so pleased to have found your site. I am a 22 year old Tameran (Kemetic wicca)living in England. Bast and Anubis are my patrons. I only started on my journey recently but I have always had an interest in Egypt. My love for Anubis is so intense I sometimes cry. Sometimes I even feel like it is spilling over into an inappropriate, romantic love. Then I feel bad for thinking such things!

I hope that one day the Neteru feel I am worthy of serving them on a more formal basis and that I may communicate with them.

Your experience is similar to mine. I learned in books, with my intuition, and also talking with french friends who have the same beliefs. We have also set up a website in french (Ta Noutri) to share our personal experiences and meet us.

I am pleased to have discovered your Wordpress and your testimony.
